ZKS IoT won the Excellence Award at the 2017 World Internet of Things Exposition

The 2017 World Internet of Things Exposition was held on September 10th, 2017 in Wuxi, China. ZKS IoT won the Excellence Award in the afternoon during the 2017 World IoT Expo’s “New Tech New Product" launching event, with ZKS project “interBow-based smart cold chain IoT monitoring system”. It is the only award in the cold chain category. Since many applicants are from top 500 companies or other giants in their own industry, Yantze Evening News reported that winning awards in the event means “ to blaze a trail” out of 1,000 projects.

Since May, 2017, World IoT Expo’s “New Tech New Product” committee has been promoting the award events thru various channels, has excited the industry and received very positive feedback, resulting in more than 1,000 applicants. Among the applicants are: top 500 or giant telecommunication companies, such as ARM, AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Huawei, ZTE, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom etc; leading companies in their own industries, such as MoBike, Little Swan, Suning Appliances, Gaode Maps etc; and many other high tech innovative companies. Participating projects span from smart city, smart agriculture, and smart home industries etc, and cover new products and new technologies in smart terminals, smart hardware, intelligent APPs, IoT development platform and IoT telecommunication etc. 

The project appraisal has been thru 3 phases: initial, second and final. To ensure fairness and impartiality, top talents and experts in IoT business are invited to join the award-appraising group by the organizing committee. More than 600 projects meet related requirements and are selected to become formal applicants. The award-appraising group followed the strict standards, taking into consideration its technology innovation, application innovation, and its economic and social benefits. After the initial appraisal phase, 300 projects remained. At the end of the 2nd phase, 126 projects were chosen after public Internet review by top experts and committee appraisal. At the end of the final phase, 72 projects were determined to be award winners by the expert award-appraising group with academician Wu He Quan as the group leader: 12 Gold Awards, 24 Silver Awards, and 36 Excellence Awards.
